The 13th edition of Cityscape Egypt announced the winners of the Egypt Proptech Challenge، the first challenge for startups in Egypt designed to showcase innovative solutions in the real estate sector.
The challenge provided a unique platform for startups to present their creative ideas to a crowd of investors، industry experts، and fellow entrepreneurs. In addition to the competition، the event included mentorship programs، networking sessions، and group discussions that gave participants valuable insights and networking opportunities.
Promoting technological advancement
Egypt Proptech Challenge aims to promote technological advancement and support the growth of promising startups in Egypt’s real estate market by fostering a collaborative environment.
The judging panel included Eng. Abdullah Salam، President and CEO of Madinet Nasr; Mohamed El-Ghanam، Principal at Flat6Labs; Mohamed Farouk، CEO and Chairman of Mobica Group; Zeina Mandour، Venture Investments Manager at Dar Ventures; Tarek Taha، Fintech & Innovation Hub Director at the Central Bank of Egypt; and Amal Enan، Partner at 500 Global.
Eleven startups presented their projects، where the founders showcased innovative solutions aimed at improving the real estate sector. These included advanced construction technologies such as 3D concrete printing، which speeds up construction processes and enhances infrastructure quality، as well as the use of recycled building materials to promote environmental sustainability and reduce costs.
The startups also introduced various tech applications designed to meet the needs of both real estate developers and customers. These apps help developers manage projects more efficiently and make the buying، renting، and real estate follow-up processes easier for customers. The founders explained how their solutions address gaps in the real estate market، helping the sector adopt innovations that save time and costs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
After discussing the submitted projects، the jury awarded first place to Reblox، granting them three spots in the next Cityscape event. Second place went to Marcom، earning them a feature article in Cityscape Magazine، and third place was awarded to Kennah، who also received a magazine feature.
A leading exhibition
Cityscape was established in 2012 and is considered one of the leading regional exhibitions، held in Egypt، Saudi Arabia، Bahrain، and Qatar. Cityscape Egypt attracts over 80 real estate developers and more than 40،000 attendees، showcasing hundreds of projects with strong participation from various entities and institutions under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Housing، Utilities، and Urban Communities. This 13th edition is the largest in Cityscape’s history، featuring the continuation of the "Cityscape Talks" platform for the second year to discuss real estate developments، along with the first-ever "Egypt Proptech Challenge" to support startups in digital transformation.
